“Women, Media & Hip Hop” Draws Full House

On March 22nd, BRL’s Daughters of DIG Project (formerly known as Daughters of Dilla) in collaboration with the Betti Ono Gallery hosted “Women, Media and Hip Hop”, an event in a series designed to provide a space for local female artists and others to dialogue about the specific issues, challenges, and triumphs relevant to women in hip hop. The event received much support as it brought out over one hundred people, packing downtown Oakland’s Betti Ono Gallery.

“Women, Media and Hip Hop” marked the second collaboration between the Daughters of DIG Project and the Betti Ono Gallery who will continue to build on this series with upcoming events. To stay tuned to future events, please follow the Daughters of DIG Tumblr page here.
