On July 11th, A Lovely Day screened to an enthusiastic crowd of over 80 South Bronx teens at The Point CDC located in the Hunts Point community. The youth response was overwhelmingly positive and many youth commented on how inspired they were by the film. Here are some of their reactions:

It was inspirational! It gives people the push they need in life and makes people want to do music.

Its a life changer!

The film’s stars represent the voices of youth all over.

It was an honor to hear the stories of youth in Oakland.

Hip Hop is the voice for a generation.

Youth all over face the same issues.

Beats Rhymes and Life is doing big things!

I could see myself in the youth from the film.

I like how the youth from the film supported each other.

Thanks to The Point and the South Bronx BRL crew for hosting the film screening and serving the amazing youth of the Hunts Point community! Peace.
