Fundraiser Launch for BRL’S New Home A Success!

Two weeks ago, BRL hosted our kickoff fundraising event for our new headquarters and we were humbled by the support! We were happy to have local change-makers and community members come out and invest time and resources in helping us make our vision for a safe, enriching space for at-risk Oakland youth come true!

Through this event we were able to launch our fundraising efforts, increase visibility, and cultivate important relationships. We look forward to building on these efforts to secure the rest of the funds needed to turn our 2,300 square foot space into a state-of-the-art therapeutic/arts training center and gallery space that will serve Oakland and Bay Area youth.

We would like to thank all in attendance, as well as the local businesses who contributed to the event including: Boot and Shoe Service, Arizmendi Bakery, Peet’s Coffee, Walden Pond Books, Tamarindo, Trader Joe’s, Duende, Piedmont Springs, Pave Jewelry, Golden State Warriors, Bakesale Betty, Good Krama, and Louis Arnold Jr.

If you were unable to make it to the event, you can view photos here, get involved here, and invest here.
